Smart UR Citizens Petition

Below is the petition we will be seeking signatures for, please read.

We, the undersigned, demand action from the Texas Public Utilities Commission (TPUC) and State Legislature:
1. Prohibit Oncor from shutting off utility service of any Smart Meter customer who has a pending complaint filed with the TPUC.
2. Conduct energy audits and install energy effieciency programs to help save money for smart meter customers with higher usage.
3. Ensure that community leaders and consumer advocates are invited to participate in the independent investigation of Oncor smart meters to test their accuracy and to interview customers.
4. Impose an immediate moratorium on installation of smart meters until investigation is completed, and remedies implemented.
5. Charge Oncor - not ratepayers for all costs for the independent investigation, replacing any defective smart meter systems, and for upgrading and replacing smart meters during the next 20 years.
6. Reject or minimize future Oncor rate increases to control monthly energy bills for customers throughout Texas.
7. Require Oncor to notify customers immediately (by email or phone) when their monthly electricity usage goes beyond 3000 kwh.

  2. Over the last 3mths, my bill has soared tremendously. I have notified Oncor two times, per my provider to come out and check my meter and lines for any possible problems. Still two months later no feedback. So why is TPUC referring us to our electric provider when they are only billing us what Oncor reports? Oncor needs to be investigated to a full extent. Bottomline is they are lining their pockets at consumers expense and livelihood.

  3. Dear Ladybug - Oncor installed the Smart Meters and the reading is what they give your consumer electricity provider to bill you monthly. Oncor and the Smart Meter are the same entity.

  4. Hi all, I live in Sachse (Dallas county) and our bill for January was $525. The bill before was around $240. I called and complained with Reliant and Oncor came out and read our smart meter and said the reading was correct. But I am very upset because I KNOW we did not use 4049 kwH. I have bills from past months and all of them show that our kwH usage is in the highs thousands or low two thousands. I am very upset. I have registered unto this website and am also considering entering a complaint w/the Texas Utility Commission.

  11. The first part of starting any new site is picking the niche you want it to be in hotel marrakech. My biggest criteria for this case study was finding a niche that should be fairly easy to get some traction in rapidleech servers, so I went for something pretty obscure pnr status. I don’t know how much money is here, so I’m taking a chance therescrapebox. But all techniques stay the same adwords coupon.
